Last week 50 of our Year 10 students took to the streets of Paris with the MFL department. They took in all the sights including the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysées, a local pâtisserie, a boat tour and last but not least Disneyland Paris.
The students demonstrated their independence with students preparing their own lunches, making pancakes, and looking after their own rooms, even though there were a few shocked faces at the 6AM wake up calls!
The students were great representatives for Deyes, taking every opportunity to speak in French, and even enjoying some snails!
The trip was a roaring success, with many students being inspired to consider living in France in the future. We have to say a particular well done to Sian Meath who was awarded the “Miss Paris” award for her willingness to speak French and to always help other people. Also a big congratulations to Ben Rix who won “Mr Paris” for demonstrating great confidence.
